  1. Product Description

    A new generation, water based, 100% acrylic, quality interior, matt coating.
  2. Application Areas

    Interior use only.
    Plaster, hardboard and fibre cement walls.
    Ceilings, like soft board, gypsum and other fibre board.
    Cast concrete or plastered ceilings.
    Can be applied on new plaster, which still has high humidity content and is still very alkaline.
  3. Product Features

    Economically priced emulsion paint based on an acrylic resin emulsion.
    Excellent adhesion to properly prepared substrates.
    Good opacity / hiding power.
    Low odour.
    Two coats of NEO Household Paint are applied for best results.
    Due to its high pigment content it fills up small cracks, holes and plaster blemishes.
    NEO Household Paint dries to a completely even matt finish.

    Spreading Rate 6 10 square metres per litre.
    Although the spreading rate will vary with porosity and type of substrate, for uncoated new surfaces work on 6-8 square metres per litre for the first coat and 8-10 square metres per litre for subsequent coats and when applied to sealed, previously painted substrates.

  5. Application Details

    Mixing AAlways stir well before use with a flat paddle.
    Application Method Brush or roller application or airless spray.
    Thinning NEO Household Paint is ready for use un-thinned; thinning with water will reduce its hiding power.
    Cleaning Water.
    Application Stir well before use.
    Two coats of NEO Household Paint are applied for best results.
    With brush, roller or airless spray, apply a generous coat of NEO Household Paint.
    Allow to dry 3-4 hours before recoating.
    Apply a second generous coat of NEO Household Paint.
    Do not apply before 09:00 and after 16:00 in the winter.
    NEO Household Paint is ready for use un-thinned; thinning with water will reduce its hiding power.

    For interior use only.
    Clean up application equipment with clean tap water.
  6. Surface Preparation

    Uncoated Concrete Surfaces Make sure surface is dry and firm.
    Remove all dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    Prime with NEO Acrylic Wall Primer (ap00).
    Raw / New Plaster Fill and seal all visible cracks with NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    Sand well and remove dust.
    With brush, roller or airless spray, apply a generous coat of NEO Household Paint.
    Allow to dry 3-4 hours before recoating.
    Apply a second generous coat of NEO Household Paint.
    Uncoated, Weathered or New Fibre Cement Surfaces Remove dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    If friable or powdery, seal with NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00).
    With brush, roller or airless spray, apply a generous coat of NEO Household Paint.
    Allow to dry 3-4 hours before recoating.
    Apply a second generous coat of NEO Household Paint.
    Soft Board or Gypsum Board Ceilings

    Hard Board
    Make sure substrate is clean and free from dust.
    Prime nail heads with a coat of NEO Universal Undercoat (wu00) (this will prevent corrosion of nail heads).
    Repair dents at nail heads with NEO Aurora Filler (ef00).
    Fill up any holes and unevenness with NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) and NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    Sand well and remove dust.
    Prime with NEO Acrylic Wall Primer (ap00).
    With brush, roller or airless spray, apply a generous coat of NEO Household Paint.
    Allow to dry 3-4 hours before recoating.
    Apply a second generous coat of NEO Household Paint.


        * The application of a primer is not required on ceiling boards.

    Previously Painted Surfaces Surface must be in a sound condition.
    Existing gloss finishes should be well sanded.
    Remove all loose, flaking and bubbling paint.
    Remove all dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    Allow to dry.
    Fill and seal all visible cracks with NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    Prime the bare and visible plaster areas with NEO Acrylic Wall Primer (ap00).
    With brush, roller or airless spray, apply a generous coat of NEO Household Paint.
    Allow to dry 3-4 hours before recoating.
    Apply a second generous coat of NEO Household Paint.
  7. Colour Range and Quantities

    NEO Household Paint is available in White and limited pastel colours.
    Available in 20 litres.
  8. Precautions

    NEO Household Paint is not flammable.
    It contains no toxic substances and very low levels of VOC (EU regulations).
  9. Disclaimer

    This product is not an acrylic primer and must not be used in place of NEO Acrylic Wall Primer (ap00) or failure will result.
    NEO Paints can not be held liable if the product fails due to improper surface preparation or application.
