  1. Product Description

    A new generation polyurethane, interior, semi-gloss floor coating for those high traffic areas that need a highly washable, alkaline and abrasion resistant coating in a range of colours.
  2. Application Areas

    • Interior or shaded areas only. The product is NOT suitable for use on the exterior that is exposed to sunlight.
    • New or old concrete floors. 
    • Dry (moisture level 15% maximum) cement floors.
    • Primed metal and wooden substrates.
  3. Product Features

    • Highly washable, cleanable, humidity and abrasion resistant.
    • Excellent adhesion to a range of properly prepared dry flooring substrates.
    • High hiding power and film build.
    • Alkaline resistant when applied to dry cement floors (moisture level 15% max).
    • NEO Floor Paint is easy to apply and at any time re-coatable with little effort.
    • For first time application two coats of NEO Floor Paint are used for best results.
    • NEO Floor Paint is resistant to household detergents, water and other substances used in a household and kitchen. However, the product is not resistant to petrol and mineral oil and should not be used in garages and workshops. For this purpose we recommend NEO Epoxy Floor Paint (eyf00).

    Spreading Rate 6-10 square metres per litre.
    Although the spreading rate will vary with porosity and type of substrate, for uncoated new surfaces work on 6-8 square metres per litre for the first coat and 8-10 square metres per litre for subsequent coats and when applied to sealed, previously painted substrates.

  5. Application Details

    • Mixing Always stir well before use with a flat paddle.
    • Application Method Paintbrush or mohair roller application.
    • Thinning NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    • Cleaning NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    • Application • Stir well before use.
    • Two coats of NEO Floor Paint are used for best results.
    • With paintbrush or mohair roller, apply a generous coat of NEO Floor Paint. The first coat may be diluted with approximately 5% NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    • Allow to dry 18-24 hours before recoating.
    • With paintbrush or roller, apply a second generous coat (undiluted).
    • Clean up application equipment with NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    • Only apply in well ventilated areas. Keep away from all ignition sources, flames and sparks. 
    • Do not eat, drink or smoke while applying.
    • Although the spreading rate will vary with porosity and type of substrate, for uncoated new surfaces work on 6-8 square metres per litre for the first coat and 8-10 square metres per litre for subsequent coats and when applied to sealed, previously painted substrates.
    • Do not apply before 09:00 and after 16:00 in the winter.
    • Interior or shaded areas only.
  6. Surface Preparation

    • Mild Steel (Renovation) • Affected areas need to be cleaned back to bright metal and spot primed with NEO Corroguard (cg00) or NEO Corrotec (ct00).
    • With paintbrush or mohair roller, apply a generous coat of NEO Floor Paint. The first coat may be diluted with approximately 5% NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    • Allow to dry 18-24 hours before recoating.
    • With paintbrush or roller, apply a second generous coat (undiluted).
    • Mild Steel (New) • Surfaces need to be abrasively degreased to remove the manufacturer’s grease protective layer. This process is repeated until the surface is water break free.
    • After drying, the whole substrate is coated with NEO Corroguard (cg00) or NEO Corrotec (ct00).
    • With paintbrush or mohair roller, apply a generous coat of NEO Floor Paint. The first coat may be diluted with approximately 5% NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    • Allow to dry 18-24 hours before recoating.
    • With paintbrush or roller, apply a second generous coat (undiluted).
    • New Wooden Floors • Remove all dust and foreign material.
    • With paintbrush or mohair roller, apply a generous coat of NEO Floor Paint. The first coat may be diluted with approximately 5% NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    • Allow to dry 18-24 hours before recoating.
    • With paintbrush or roller, apply a second generous coat (undiluted).
    • Dry (15% Moisture Maximum) Uncoated Concrete Surfaces and New Concrete Floors • Remove all dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    • Fill and seal all visible cracks with a suitable flexible sealant.
    • Make sure screed is solid, firm and dry.
    • With paintbrush or mohair roller, apply a generous coat of NEO Floor Paint. The first coat may be diluted with approximately 5% NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    • Allow to dry 18-24 hours before recoating.
    • With paintbrush or roller, apply a second generous coat (undiluted).
    • Previously Painted Surfaces • Remove all loose, flaking and bubbling paint.
    • Remove all dust, grease, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    • Allow to dry.
    • With paintbrush or mohair roller, apply a generous coat of NEO Floor. The first coat may be diluted with approximately 5% NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    • Allow to dry 18-24 hours before recoating.
    • With paintbrush or roller, apply a second generous coat (undiluted).
  7. Colour Range and Quantities

    • NEO Floor Paint is available in Tile Red, Medium Grey, Sandstone Brown and Chrome Oxide Green. However, it is possible to make other shades in minimum batch quantities upon request.
    • Available in 1 litre and 5 litres.
  8. Precautions

    • NEO Floor Paint is highly flammable and has a flashpoint of 37 degrees Celsius.
    • Use only in well ventilated areas and do not eat, drink or smoke during application.
    • This product contains no toxic substances.
