  1. Product Description

    New generation water based, interior / exterior, long-life, flexible textured coating.
  2. Application Areas

    • Interior and exterior use.
    • Long-life exterior protection of buildings.
    • Ideal long-life coating for exterior walls. The coating is highly suitable for use in coastal regions as well as for inland conditions.
    • Used as a feature on interior walls.
    • New or weathered cement tiles.
    • New or weathered fibre cement sheeting.
    • New or weathered plaster.
  3. Product Features

    • Highly durable and UV resistant.
    • Slightly coarse sand filled textured effect to hide surface imperfections. The coating remains flexible and will not show smaller cracks for years to come.
    • Highly weather resistant, tough coating, which reflects harmful UV light and prevents rain and humidity penetration into the substrate.
    • Water resistant.
    • Excellent adhesion.
    • Excellent application properties.
    • Textured coating suitable for roller application. 
    • Quick drying, 2 coats can be applied in one day.
    • Two coats of NEO Natural are required for best results.
    • Low odour.
    • If correctly applied to a properly prepared substrate, the product has a life expectancy of 7-10 years, possibly longer.

    Film Thickness Irregular due to textured finish
    Spreading Rate 1.5-3.5m² per litre.
    Although the spreading rate will vary with porosity and type of substrate, for uncoated new surfaces work on 1.5-2.5 square metres per litre for the first coat and 2-4 square metres per litre when applied to sealed, previously painted substrates.

  5. Application Details

    • Mixing Always stir well before use with a flat paddle.
    • Application Method A combination of a yellow textured roller or sheepskin roller and/or a block brush.
    • Thinning NEO Natural is ready for use un-thinned; thinning with water will reduce its hiding power and its texture.
    • Cleaning Water.
    • Application • Stir well before use.
    • Two coats of NEO Natural are required for best results.
    • With a sheepskin roller apply a generous coat of NEO Natural and, if a more textured look is required, use a foam roller to create texture or block brush for Moroccan effect.
    • Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
    • Apply a second coat in the same manner as the first.
    • NEO Natural is ready for use un-thinned; thinning with water will reduce its hiding power and its texture.
    • Clean up application equipment with clean tap water.
    • Do not apply before 09:00 and after 16:00 in the winter.
    • Do not apply exterior if it looks like rain will occur within 4-6 hours of application.
  6. Surface Preparation

    • Mild Steel (Renovation) • Clean affected areas back to bright metal.
    • Spot prime with NEO Corrotec (ct00).
    • With a sheepskin roller apply a generous coat of NEO Natural and, if a more textured look is required, use a foam roller to create texture or block brush for Moroccan effect.
    • Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
    • Apply a second coat in the same manner as the first.
    • Mild Steel (New) • Degrease surfaces with NEO Metal Conditioner (mc00) to remove the manufacturer’s grease protective layer. This process is repeated until the surface is water break free.
    • After drying, the whole substrate is coated with NEO Corrotec (ct00).
    • With a sheepskin roller apply a generous coat of NEO Natural and, if a more textured look is required, use a foam roller to create texture or block brush for Moroccan effect.
    • Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
    • Apply a second coat in the same manner as the first.
    • Fibre Cement Surfaces (Uncoated, Weathered or New) • Make sure surface is dry and firm.
    • Remove all dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    • If friable or powdery, seal with NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00).
    • Apply one coat of NEO Acrylic Wall Primer (ap00).
    • Repair any cracks, holes and blemishes with NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    • Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    • Sand well and remove dust.
    • With a sheepskin roller apply a generous coat of NEO Natural and, if a more textured look is required, use a foam roller to create texture or block brush for Moroccan effect.
    • Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
    • Apply a second coat in the same manner as the first.
    • Raw Plaster
    • Dry, Uncoated Concrete Surfaces
    • Precast
    • Make sure plaster is dry and firm.
    • Remove all dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    • Apply one coat of NEO Acrylic Wall Primer (ap00).
    • Repair any cracks, holes and blemishes with NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    • Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    • With a sheepskin roller apply a generous coat of NEO Natural and, if a more textured look is required, use a foam roller to create texture or block brush for Moroccan effect.
    • Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
    Apply a second coat in the same manner as the first. 
    • Previously Painted Surfaces
    • Precast
    • The existing PVA emulsion paint coating should be of good quality and must have a good bond to the substrate.
    • Check the adhesion of the substrate.
    • Remove all loose, flaking and bubbling paint.
    • Remove all dust, grease, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    • If friable or powdery, seal with NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00).
    • Repair any cracks, holes and blemishes with NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    • Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    • Sand well and remove dust.
    • With a sheepskin roller apply a generous coat of NEO Natural and, if a more textured look is required, use a foam roller to create texture or block brush for Moroccan effect.
    • Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
    • Apply a second coat in the same manner as the first.
  7. Colour Range and Quantities

    • NEO Natural is available in a limited range of shades only.
    • Available in 5 litres and 20 litres.

    • NEO Natural is not flammable.
    • The product contains no toxic or harmful substances.
