  1. Product Description

    A new generation water based, interior / exterior, long-life, flexible structured wall coating.
  2. Application Areas

    • Interior and exterior use.
    • Long-life exterior protection of buildings.
    • Used as a feature on interior walls.
    • Smooth, textured finish is highly decorative for plastered or cast ceilings.
    • New or weathered cement tiles.
    • New or weathered fibre cement sheeting.
    • New or weathered plaster.
    • Previously painted substrates.
    • Primed metal and wooden substrates.
  3. Product Features

    • Highly durable and UV resistant.
    • Textured effect to hide surface imperfections.
    • Water resistant.
    • Excellent adhesion.
    • Highly flexible coating system, moves with the substrate, covers small plaster cracks and hides blemishes on the plaster surface. This flexibility will remain for many years due to the special elastic grade of acrylic resin emulsion used.
    • Excellent application properties.
    • Quick drying - 2 coats can be applied in one day.
    • Two coats of NEO Plast are required for best results.
    • Low odour.
    • If correctly applied to a properly prepared substrate the product has a life expectancy of 7-10 years, possibly longer.

    By mass: 70.5% 
    Film Thickness 150-200 microns
    Spreading Rate 0.5-2 square metres per litre.
    Although the spreading rate will vary with porosity and type of substrate, for uncoated new surfaces work on 0.5-1 square metres per litre for the first coat and 1-2 square metres per litre for subsequent coats and when applied to sealed, previously painted substrates.

  5. Application Details

    • Mixing The coat has a thioxtropic condition. Therefore, stirring it thoroughly will reduce the viscosity and make it workable.
    • Application Method A combination of a sheep skin roller and a textured roller.
    • Thinning Under no circumstances may the product be diluted.
    • Cleaning Water.
    • Application • Stir well before use.
    • Two coats of NEO Plast are required for best results.
    • Apply one generous coat with a sheep skin roller of NEO Plast.
    • Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
    • Apply a second thin coat with a textured roller of NEO Plast.
    • If required, NEO Plast can be overcoated with NEO Dur (ep00) in a wide range of shades and to give added protection.
    • NEO Plast may under no circumstances be diluted.
    • Although the spreading rate will vary with porosity and type of substrate, for uncoated new surfaces work on 0.5-1 square metres per litre for the first coat and 1-2 square metres per litre for subsequent coats and when applied to sealed, previously painted substrates.
    • Clean up application equipment with clean tap water.
    • Do not apply before 09:00 and after 16:00 in the winter.
    • Do not apply exterior if it looks like rain will occur within 4-6 hours of application.
  6. Surface Preparation

    • Mild Steel (Renovation) • Clean affected areas back to bright metal.
    • Spot prime with NEO Corroguard (cg00).
    • Apply one generous coat with a sheep skin roller of NEO Plast.
    • Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
    • Apply a second thin coat with a textured roller of NEO Plast.
    • Mild Steel (New) • Degrease surfaces with NEO Metal Conditioner (mc00) to remove the manufacturer’s grease protective layer. This process is repeated until the surface is water break free.
    • After drying, the whole substrate is coated with NEO Corroguard (cg00).
    • Apply one generous coat with a sheep skin roller of NEO Plast.
    • Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
    • Apply a second thin coat with a textured roller of NEO Plast.
    • Dry, Uncoated Concrete Surfaces
    • Raw Plaster
    • Precast
    • Make sure surface is dry and firm.
    • Remove all dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    • Prime with NEO Acrylic Wall Primer (ap00).
    • Repair any cracks, holes and blemishes with NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    • Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    • Sand well and remove dust.
    • Apply one generous coat with a sheep skin roller of NEO Plast.
    • Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
    • Apply a second thin coat with a textured roller of NEO Plast.
    • Fibre Cement Surfaces (Uncoated, Weathered or New) • Remove dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    • If friable or powdery, seal with NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00).
    • Apply one coat of NEO Acrylic Wall Primer (ap00).
    • Apply one generous coat with a sheep skin roller of NEO Plast.
    • Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
    • Apply a second thin coat with a textured roller of NEO Plast.
    • Previously Painted Surfaces
    • Precast
    • Make sure old paint coatings are firm and solid.
    • Check the adhesion on the substrate.
    • Remove all loose, flaking and bubbling paint.
    • Remove all dust, grease, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    • If friable or powdery, seal with NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00).
    • Repair any cracks, holes and blemishes with NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    • Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    • Apply one generous coat with a sheep skin roller of NEO Plast.
    • Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
    • Apply a second thin coat with a textured roller of NEO Plast.
  7. Colour Range and Quantities

    • NEO Plast is available in a limited range of shades in minimum batch quantities.
    • Available in 5 litres and 20 litres.
  8. Precautions

    • NEO Plast contains no toxic substances and very small amounts of organic solvents only.
    • NEO Plast is not flammable.
