  1. Product Description

    New generation water based, interior / exterior, long-life, structured scratch plaster type coating containing distinct scratch marks. Scratch plaster is a thick coat plaster.

  3. Product Features

    • Highly durable and UV resistant.
    • Forms a hard, solid, nearly indestructible coating for interior and exterior plastered walls.
    • Distinct scratch marks provide an attractive appearance.
    • Scratch plaster effect to hide surface imperfections.

    • Excellent adhesion.

    • One coat of NEO Reibeputz is required for best results. But the applicator must be an experienced plasterer or poor results will be achieved.
    • If correctly applied to a properly prepared substrate, the product has a life expectancy of 7-10 years, possibly longer.

  5. Application Details

    • Mixing Always stir well before use with a flat paddle.
    • Application Method With trowel only by an experienced plasterer.
    • Thinning Under no circumstances may the product be diluted.
    • Cleaning Water.
    • Application • Stir well before use.
    • To be applied by trowel only.
    • NEO Reibeputz may under no circumstances be diluted.
    • One coat of NEO Reibeputz is required for best results. But the applicator must be an experienced plasterer or poor results will be achieved.
    • NEO Reibeputz must be applied with strokes in the same direction otherwise an irregular pattern will be achieved.
    • Allow to dry over night before recoating.
    • During application it is quite possible that some scratch marks penetrate the coating right to the substrate and the substrate may become visible. For this reason we recommend to prime the plaster with a coat of NEO Dur (ep00) tinted in the same shade as the successive coat of NEO Reibeputz.
    • Clean up application equipment with clean tap water.
    • If required, NEO Reibeputz can be overcoated with NEO Dur (ep00) in a wide range of shades to give added protection.
    • Do not apply before 09:00 and after 16:00 in the winter.
    • Do not apply exterior if it looks like rain will occur within 4-6 hours of application.
  6. Surface Preparation

    • Mild Steel (Renovation) • Clean affected areas back to bright metal.
    • Spot prime with NEO Corroguard (cg00).
    • Apply one coat of NEO Reibeputz.
    • NEO Reibeputz must be applied with strokes in the same direction otherwise an irregular pattern will be achieved.
    • Mild Steel (New) • Degrease surfaces with NEO Metal Conditioner (mc00) to remove the manufacturer’s grease protective layer. This process is repeated until the surface is water break free.
    • After drying, the whole substrate is coated with NEO Corroguard (cg00).
    • Apply one coat of NEO Reibeputz with a trowel.
    • NEO Reibeputz must be applied with strokes in the same direction otherwise an irregular pattern will be achieved.
    • Dry, Uncoated Concrete Surfaces
    • Fibre Cement Surfaces (Uncoated, Weathered or New)
    • Raw Plaster 
    • Precast
    • Make sure surface is dry and firm.
    • Remove all dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    • Prime with NEO Acrylic Wall Primer (ap00).
    • Repair any cracks, holes and blemishes with NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    • Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07).
    • Sand well and remove dust.
    • Apply one coat of NEO Reibeputz with a trowel.
    • NEO Reibeputz must be applied with strokes in the same direction otherwise an irregular pattern will be achieved.
    • Previously Painted Surfaces
    • Precast
    • We do not recommend the application of NEO Reibeputz on previously painted surfaces, because the old coating may loose adhesion and will accordingly not be able to carry the coating of NEO Reibeputz.
    • Make sure old paint coatings are firm and solid.
    • Check the adhesion of the substrate.
    • Remove all loose, flaking and bubbling paint.
    • Remove all dust, grease, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
    • If friable or powdery, seal with NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00).
    • Apply one coat of NEO Reibeputz with a trowel.
    • NEO Reibeputz must be applied with strokes in the same direction otherwise an irregular pattern will be achieved.
  7. Colour Range and Quantities

    • NEO Reibeputz is available in a limited range of shades in minimum batch quantities.
    • Available in 20 litres.
  8. Precautions

    • NEO Reibeputz is not flammable.
    • Contains no toxic substances.
