  1. Product Description

    Classic polyurethane based long-life, interior, high gloss wooden floor coating for those high traffic wooden and parquet floors that need a highly abrasion resistant and durable coating. NEO Siegellack is a hard but flexible finish for wooden floors. It is a single pack, easy to use coating. No hardener or catalyst must be added. NEO Siegellack is suitable for interior use on wooden floors like parquet or board floors. The varnish dries to a glossy finish and seals the protected floor completely. NEO Siegellack is recommended for use in residential buildings.

    Suitable for use on wooden floors like parquet or board floors that have been properly prepared.
  3. Product Features

    NEO Siegellack is based on an air-drying grade of polyurethane resin, which dries to a hard and firm coating.
    Highly abrasion resistant for wooden or parquet floors.
    NEO Siegellack is formulated for normal household use. The coating is resistant to water, alcohol and normal household detergents, thus highly washable and cleanable.
    Excellent adhesion to properly prepared wooden substrates.
    High gloss and film build.
    Apply three coats of NEO Siegellack on new or completely refurbished floors.
    For use in highly frequented buildings like hotels, public buildings etc. we recommend the use of our NEO Epoxy Floor Paint (nef00).
  4. Product Data

    Solid Matter by Content By volume: 40%
    By mass: 48%
    Film Thickness 20-25 microns
    Spreading Rate 6-10 square metres per litre.
    Although the spreading rate will vary with porosity and type of substrate, for uncoated new surfaces work on 6-7 square metres per litre for the first coat and 8-10 square metres per litre for subsequent coats and when applied to sealed, previously varnished substrates.

  5. Application Details

    Mixing Always stir well before use with a flat paddle.
    Application Method Brush. Paint roller application is not recommended.
    Thinning NEO Siegellack is ready for use un-thinned. Thinning is only required for the first coat on sanded wood. For thinning use NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    Cleaning NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    Application Stir well before use.
    Sand the wooden or parquet substrate well.
    Remove all dust.
    Three coats of NEO Siegellack are applied for best results.
    Apply one coat of NEO Siegellack diluted with approximately 10% NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    Allow to dry for 18 to 24 hours before sanding again, remove all dust.
    Brush apply (un-thinned) two more generous coats, leaving 18 to 24 hours between coats.
    Only apply in well ventilated areas, keep away from all ignition sources, flames and sparks.
    Do not eat, drink or smoke while applying.
    Do not apply before 09:00 and after 16:00 in the winter.
    For interior use only.

    Clean up application equipment with NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
  6. Surface Preparation

    New Wooden Floors or Completely Refurbished Ones:

    Sand the wooden or parquet substrate well.
    Remove all dust.
    Apply one coat of NEO Siegellack diluted with approximately 10% NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    Allow to dry for 18 to 24 hours before sanding again, remove all dust.
    Brush apply (un-thinned) two more generous coats, leaving 18 to 24 hours between coats.

    Existing Varnished Floors:

    Sand the wooden or parquet substrate well. The whole area must be properly sanded, preferably back to bare wood.
    Remove all dust.
    Apply one coat of NEO Siegellack diluted with approximately 10% NEO Mineral Turpentine (mt00).
    Allow to dry for 18 to 24 hours before sanding again, remove all dust.
    Brush apply (un-thinned) two more generous coats, leaving 18 to 24 hours between coats.
    Should the floor be considerably worn and the wood partly exposed on the surface, a complete refurbish of the floor is required. Only a professional with proper equipment can do this.

  7. Colour Range and Quantities

    NEO Siegellack is available in clear only.
    Available in 1 litre and 5 litres.
  8. Precautions

    NEO Siegellack is highly flammable and has a flashpoint of 37 degrees Celsius. Use only in well ventilated areas. Do not eat, drink or smoke during application. The product contains no toxic substances.
